Solidarity is a strain in the DNA of ARTUZ, whilst the state uses its machinery to thwart the existance of genuine cadres who stand firm in fighting for labour justice.
As ARTUZ Mutoko district we are disturbed by the way in which the judiciary is handling cde Sheila’s court case, after being deprived off their rights to register their disgruntlement through a demonstration President Obert Masaraure and Sheila Chirisimunhu were accused for participating in a public gathering with intention to cause public violence. It’s so surprising that on the 18th of December Masvingo magistrate acquitted our ARTUZ president and convicted his core accused teacher cde Sheila after failing to give a final verdict on the case.
We will never get weary when it comes to guarding our territory jealously, we mean what we say and reiterate our mantra: INJURE ONE INJURE ALL, INJURE SHEILA INJURE THE ENTIRE ARTUZ FAMILY. We call for the prevalance of justice in cde Sheila’s case in line with the lamentations from president Obert Masaraure, “There is need to challenge the existing laws, which take away the rights given by the constitution.
Trade unions need to push for legislative alignment through litigation and/or advocacy and lobbying to ensure that the existing laws reflect the dictates of section 65 and related provisions of the constitution”We will not bow down to the Apartheid behavior of the state and its judiciary but rather fight and soldier on the road to freedom.
LONG LIVE THE FIGHTING SPIRIT LONG LIVE #freesheila#mwanasikanahaanamhosva#sheilahaanamhosva
